I am getting some new arrows together and I am curious how many broadheads you have that are your regular users?

I have 6 of them that I will be using and I am not sure if that is sufficient. In the past it has been as I have not lost any.

All my broken or lost arrows are the result of 3D shoots, stump shooting, grouse, etc. In fact 3D shoots killed my arrow supply!

I have 12 Muzzy broadheads but only carry 4 broadhead tipped arrows in my quiver while hunting. It's one of those personal preference things so I'm sure you will see lots of different answers.

Thanks Ron. I can't buy my broadheads locally so it takes time to get them in. I only carry 4 broadheads too and at a time. Anyway it will be interesting to see what others do.

I carry three broadheads, and I am going over to the dark side (mechanicals) for this fall, as well as the G5 small game heads for bunnies and chickens. These items are in my quiver when playing in the bush.

I have used Muzzy 125 3 blade, NAP Thuderhead 125 and Magnus II with bleeder blades. Interchangeably, however I feel like at the moment, I still use all these broadheads. In the field I carry never more than three broadhead tipped arrows and that is still too many. Never needed more than one. One shot is all you get and I don't do stump shooting when I am hunting.

Whichever head you choose, keep it as sharp as you can. The sharper the better. You do not want to just wound your game. You need a lethal and quick 'harvest' (as they say), which is just a euphemism for kill. Bowsitter - use Wickepedia:wink:

Diamond grit hand-held hones are the cat's ass for touch-ups in the field. Don't leave home without it.

X2. A friend that got me started in archery, part owner of Archery Lanes in Sherwood Park AB, started me with 100gr Muzzys and I've just sort of stuck with them. I like the practice blade capability. I have some Muzzy 125's but prefer the 100's

Any combination of the following. 6 in quiver at a time and as they all shoot the exact same for me so its a mix and match, its just what ever one has that "billy-baroo" feeling that gets selected.

either grizzly 160gr. on 100 gr. brass broad head addapters.
or grizzly 125gr with 100gr boadhead addapters that have been filled with 50 grain of melted lead.
or 125 zwicky with 100 gr addapters also filled with 50 grains of lead.

why?.... just cause....over all I end up with about 625 grain arrow.
