I will be in Calgary for a family get-together on Oct 25/08 and would like to try my had at an upland (Huns) or combination upland/duck hunt the week before or after in Southern Ab. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I will be bringing a dog and all the gear, not looking for honey holes just some areas where I can run my dog and maybe luck into some birds.
Cheers
Rick

South of Lethbridge towards Magrath in and around that area there is some pretty good hunting for Huns and Pheasants. I have never hunted waterfowl here, but there are lots of dykes and the Milk River Ridge Res. is here as well.

Happy hunting

Contact Calgary Pheasant's forever. There's some land up around calgary that the landowner has opened up to all hunter's. Lot's of hun's and pheasant's. I just can't remenber the name. maybe deadeye ranching don't quote me on this. Anyway, there are pen raised and wild birds on this land
Happy huntin.........
