Picked up my new pupy on wednesday.

Missy is a purebred female beagle. I am planning on training her to bloodtrail downed game. So if anyone in the Westshore area (Highlands, Metchosin, maybe as far as Shawnigan) is successful this year, and would like to help me out, I would love to put Missy on a few easy, real life trails to aid in the training process.

I think she likes my wife better though!

very nice little pup. why not use her for bunnies also? the island seems to have lots of them.
Good luck and looking forward to hearing about the progress

Cute puppy! I have good aquaintances who train dogs for rescue work and the one thing that is super important is to set the puppy up for success and always give lots of praise. Mind these are "working dogs" and not family pets....

I think Barracuda has a great idea about rabbits. Especially if there are a lot of them.

Best of luck to you with your new partner!

Looks pretty ferocious. Should be an excellent guard dog!

Beagles have awesome noses, she'll sniff out whatever game you put down.
