HI all ,I have a 2.5 year old GSP any help on locating some dog boots for hunting.The poor guy just seems to find the cactus every time we go bird hunting up in osooyas any help would be appreciated thanks

Cabela's has a good selection and there are a premium set advertised that look darn good. I've also read that there is no way to actually stop sharp cactus needles from penetrating even leather so a tip is to wrap the boot soles with duct tape for extra protection. However, the premium ones work well for burrs and smaller/softer needles.

Yes when i take my GSP s to Oliver i always end up carrying a pair of pliers. Another thing to worry about is rattlers. Hubs sports had a pair of dog boots in there.

Is there any thing you can give your dog if he or she gets bit by a rattle snake,what would you do in a case like that, seen only 1 rattle snake in that last ten years up in oliver but herd lots

I have never seen one, my fathers neighbour has seen them, I would get my dog to the vet as soon as possible, I will talk to my vet about it and try to get an answer , About an antidote, My one GSP , As soon as it sees a snake down here will go for its head a whip it to death.
