PAL Application

Has anyone completed a recent PAL application? Just wondering how long to expect for everything to be returned and ready to go??

when your done filling out the info it will tell you what you need to know from what I understand....

I sent my application off on 07 Feb of this year. It was received at the CFC on 15 Feb. I just got my PAL in the mail last Tuesday. So thats a little over 3 months.

A guy at work recieved his in 4 weeks, it is really hit and miss, it took me 7 months to get my pal renewed.

I received mine within two weeks. That was two and a half years ago.:biggrin: I keept at them like a rottweiler to get it done.

Ya just call and be polite but persistant and it won't take long at all.

I renewed mine not long ago and had it back in 2-3 weeks.

Took me 3-4 weeks

I mailed in my application from the US on April 21 and checked on its progress last week. The report was that the application was in BC awaiting approval and I should have it within four weeks; if not I was to call back to check on what was going on. Very helpful and friendly people for a government office.

Took me about 12 days to get mine, sent it in June 23rd had it back beginning of July.

39 days total for mine.

The day they called me for my interview, they called my two references within minutes after (they were in my office) and I literally watched my online status go to "approved" within the hour...it took 8 days for the mail to reach my box with my card...so basically they followed the 28 day waiting period plus the mail time...I'm actually quite impressed with the efficiency (even though some of the questions to my references were downright silly..."how do you think the applicant would respond if they were faced with this situation?" type stuff.
