Fred and I were out with the hounds today and I must say these 2 have come along way since the last few times that we were out.We were able to do a couple of long distant drags and once my black&tan caught the track my redbone opened up as well I was surprised as he usually does not do this.Once they found the drag they were quit vocal:grin: and they stayed at the tree, wich the black&tan tried to climb, The last few times they would not stay at the tree so I am very happy with there progress.

Good to hear Mike sounds like you will have some hounds ready for this winter! Keep it up and good luck. It takes some time when you are starting out from scratch.

Well, I am hoping that they will be ready for cougar season this year,If they continue to progress like this I am sure that they will do just fine.I need to find someone that has finished dogs that these 2 can run with.

Well I always like to come over to the mainland for a hunt or two a year. You might just have to get ahold of me this winter. You ever hunt pemberton? You can take five bobs a year in there.

Houndogger, I know of a pretty good spot for bobcats here on the mainland,I am always up for a good chase! Last year I seen lots of bobcats but I did not have the hounds then.I have hunted pemberton, although I have not been there for a while now.

If you know where the Bobcats are Mike we will be in touch when the season opens up again. Maybe Jordan and I can bring the dogs and run them all together on some bobcats, it would be a blast. Hey why not post some pic's of the dogs I'm curious to see how they are turning out seeing as they are litter mates to our female red dog. I'll try to get a couple pic's of Jordans dogs and figure out how to post them. Ken
