Better yet grab your .17hmr and your .204 and have some real fun. Just finished getting rid of about 70 and two coyotes.

Some of the properties I have access to are great for the ole .22, however there are some others where it is not possible to do some shooting (holes are within 100 metres of a residence and the gal that lives there is a be-atch) so I may just have to amend my oxy/acetylene outfit to do this up close and personal along the fence line, near the house...That should really get her fired up, cause there is nothing she do about it....

Most of my other properties is wide open lead slinging.......

My exisiting horse pasture does have gophers in it, however it is within 5 acre parcels, homes all around, so not really practical to shoot, so maybe I will have to try this out....

You need to get a bow, crossbow or good pelletgun, nothing they can do about firing off "non-firearms". Silent, yet still pisses people right off.

I had to shoot a bunch of gophers from a field where we boarded our horses at. It was the same scenario- houses fairly close and highway running adjacent to the field. Even rimfires weren't allowed- I used a scoped Diana model 48 .22 cal pellet gun. It has a velocity of 900 FPS, Which is more than a .22 shorty - It worked like a charm- any gophers within 60 yards were dead instantly first shot. I never heard any complaints but there are alway's people out there who just have to complain about everything because they are miserable and have no life.

I figure for less than a hundred bucks I can convert my existing oxy-acetylene set up into one of these temporarily and use it just to P*&& Off the tree hugger next door to a friends property....

All I need is a piece of black steel pipe, bell housing off a tiger torch and some method of remote spark......

Could really have a good time:-o:-o
