Went out this morning for some ducks and geese, only saw one flock of geese that didnt want to commit and we only got a couple mallards, but we did see around 40-50 swans. They come and sit in our field and our neighbors for a couple months and then also come back in the spring so its neat to see them around so much. Its almost like they know they cant get shot becuase they fly so low over our spreads just playing with us. If only we lived in North Carolina where they have a permit to hunt them, they'd make one great mount thats for sure. Hopefully its a sign that its getting too cold up north and the mallards are gonna make a push down soon. Another bad thing about them though is they only land right smack in the middle of a field and normally draw other geese to that same spot. The pictures look about 40 yards away but they were really around 20 yards above us.

We've got a pile of them that migrate on the island for the winter as well. Some days you'll see a couple hundred in the same field.

Giant snow geese,... that's what I call them. Too many times I've pulled up on them, and said Hmmm,...something's not right....

They are neat to see.
