Here are a few pics of Alberta bucks.

Last year during rifle season we met a guy that had wounded a buck in the same general area that this buck was found.

These are two bucks that I have been after for a couple of years, the one on the left (tough to see) is actually regressing from what once was about a 190 with some trash, he is now about a 175". I got to 20 yards on these two just after this pic was taken but they winded me before they came to an openning. I will be back after them this weekend.

This is the buck the same guy shot last year. We spotted this deer just before he bedded down and did a stalk that ended with a shot at 100 yards. Later the guy told me it was the first time he had ever done an actual stalk on a deer, hunting sure is different out here.

is it right that a BC resident can hunt a mulie any time without a draw if with bow?

bruin

You can hunt with a hunter host from Sept 1 - Oct 31 with a bow. Mulie season with a bow ends when rifle season starts, at least in my area. Its great, there are a tonne of big mulies if you look in the right spots. There are very few bowhunters around as well. It has been tough stalking though as the big bucks are either out in the wide open where you can't get close enough without being seen or they are hung up in the super thick bush where they can see out and you can't see in. If a guy had a rifle tag you could get in the books for sure.

Here's a few more alberta bucks. Things have really started heating up around here this past week.

The smaller whitetail is a friends first big game animal, neeless to say he was pretty excited. He made a perfect shot at abot 150 yards, the buck was after two does, we had to wait several minutes for him to stop and offer a good shot.

Bruin, what area (numbers) do you hunt, or not want to say? I was hunting 357 which is where I got my whitetail. I saw some dang big mulies there as well but it is all limited entry and as you well know, it takes 3 years to get a tag.

There are big mulies all over seems like. Gotta start archery hunting if you don't want to draw.:x
