Well me and my brother(mattchu_19) went out for an afternoon goose hunt. The geese around 400-500 have been using our neighbors corn field two days in a row so we decided to set up. Used just shy of 5 dozen decoys and hid our blinds against the fence. Our cousin came and took some pictures since he doesnt have his core yet.

We had seen a snow goose with all of them which is very rare so we were trying to find it amongst the other but it eluded us today but my dads gonna keep a look out for it this week. The first flock to come in and 3 split off and prefectly decoyed right into our spread. We shot only 3 shells and they were dead before they hit the ground. We knew they were smaller geese most likely lessers but we were very surpised once we picked up all three. The one was about size of a large mallard drake. It is definity the size and colouring of a Cackler goose, and the other two are Taverners but have very dark almost brown chests so they could be a mixture, but are too small to be lessers.

And wouldn't you know it, once we start packing up over 300 more geese started coming off the roost came to give us a look but with a bunch of bags and 8 decoys left in the field we didnt hav emuch chance. There'll be next weekend though.

Looks like you had "another shitty day in paradise".........

From the pics of that little guy I'd say that there has definitely been some hanky-panky up north in the breeding grounds.
