A friend of mine from New Brunswick sent me this photo of a moose shot in NB last week. He said that they have to be inspected whole there so thats why its loaded in the truck like that! Pretty Wild

Inspected whole? That's fine if you ignore the practicality of getting to the inspector in one piece!

When I was a kid we used to load our moose into the back of a truck by double blocking a powersaw winch. The powersaw winch was fitted with a Peavey hook underneath that we would drive into an old stump. Drug moose for long distances like that. Drag em as far as the cable would go then reset and drag again. We always seemed to be able to find a small bank or something to be able to back the tailgate up to and then have a block on the Bulkhead of the box and winch him right on in.
