On the weekend in the hills just east of Grand Forks, the first bear of the season was seen walking around. It was seen by a few groups and they all said it was a large bruin...I'm off to the range it won't be long.....

Ahh the bears are out, the bees the birds are... well, if you don't know that I won't tell you, spring is in the air. Lets get hunting, 3kills, I'll take you out to an area where there are lots of bears, I'll try to get you onto one before the spring hunt, and then you can worry about your second tag at that time.

Yeah your right but they have TEETH, hunting bears is just that much more a thrill. I once had a largish blackie do an endrun on me, very quiet very quick, biggest rush I've had hunting:shock: Try it you won't be disapointed and the meat is very good to boot.

Canuck....it was on the hills just east of the gun range...it was out for most of the day...I was talkin with a fellow that watched it for over three hours....he was saying it was a nice sized bear....but you are right it is cold at nights...but i guess the days are warm enough for a little day trip.
