Well after much trial and tribulation I finally downed my first buck:biggrin::cool:. It was a small 2x2 but I couldn't be happier. As I type this I'm still in Sparwood but I''ll post pics of my Deer and some stories of the Elk, Moose and Sheep we've encountered on our trip. We're out of here tomorrow but may make an overnight stop in Christina Lake to hunt if we can find a freezer for my Deer (hello Palmer:lol::biggrin:).

Well I'm back safe and sound from the east Koot's. In the end we weren't able to get a bull Elk but I did get a small (and tasty!:D) whitetail buck. The hunt for Elk was far from boring though, we did see Bulls pretty much every day, as well as plenty of cows. Here's a couple of pics....

To answer Tarpmans' question, that is my new Browning with me in the photo's. It worked perfectly, put it right behind the shoulder through the lungs from a short 50 yards or so.....

And what would a camping trip in the Koot's be without a few Turkeys!!

Nice kishman, seen a little buck like that a night ago, but he evaded me and my dad, we only had bows so
