I/C or most likely Modified will do you fine..

BUT!

If you want the real answer you have to pattern your loads (shoot them at paper) in your gun, using your chokes.

My X2 would be modified for what you are after, my 870 I went with a briley "duck" choke, and my side by sides are more towards I/C

Get out and shoot some paper!

Use the back-side of last-years Christmas wrapping paper and use a finishing nail, a pen and some monafilament fishing line tied at a 15" radius, and draw some 30" circles. Staple-it to some thick plywood so you can assess penetration too. Steel shot does not like long barrels or a great deal of constriction. Take shells apart and count pellets beforehand to give percentages. Usyually IC seems the best for steel, and what you lose in pattern going to Mod., you will probably gain in penetration. With steel, Speed Kills, and patterns are generally denser anyways due to lack of deformity.
