I've spoken with dog owners that say they still find the odd bird on public land in the LM. I have yet to see one around here in an area that you can hunt. From what I can tell, there are very few places in the whole province that hold many birds on public land.

My dog puts up the occaisional bird when we are walking along the train tracks in Richmond and once in a while along the dikes in Delta. Funny, I've seen way more ****s than hens.
It's too bad there are so few places to hunt them, they are alot of fun.

I have seen a fair amount on the seaward side of the dykes on Boundary bay in Delta...mostly when duck hunting...

I grew up in Delta. 10 to 15 years ago there were lots of pheasants around on public land, but there are only a very few left.
