A message from the Nicola Valley Fish and Game Club (http://www.nvfishandgameclub.ca/):
If you would like to continue to be able to access Crown land and public lakes in BC to take part in fishing, hunting, or any other recreational activity, please consider a donation to our fundraising campaign (https://fundrazr.com/campaigns/8z7oe).
A large land owner in the Merritt area has restricted public access, and the Nicola Valley Fish and Game Club needs your support to continue a court challenge to reopen public access to public roads leading to public lakes and lands in the Merritt area.
Our hope is that if successful, this case will set a precedent for many similar situations in BC that have gone unchallenged, where public spaces are being blocked by large landowners at an alarming pace.
We are receiving some support from West Coast Environmental Law and the BC Wildlife Federation, but need your support to reach our fundraising goal of $300,000.00 to continue to fight this issue on behalf of British Columbians.
If you support maintaining public access to BC's lakes and Crown land for hunting, angling, or any recreational purpose, consider making a donation to our fundraising campaign by clicking here (https://fundrazr.com/campaigns/8z7oe) or on the link above.
