The BC Wildlife Federation is hosting a free Wetlandkeepers course in Smithers, BC. If you know of any person or group that might be interested, please share the below information.

In developed areas, many of BC's watery "kidneys" and "ecological supermarkets" have already vanished, and this is why we need engaged citizens to take an active role in protecting those that remain.
Are you interested in helping out?

The Wetlandkeepers Course is coming to Smithers to teach local residents environmental stewardship skills. It is with great pleasure and excitement that we bring this valuable course free of charge, as a result of generous contributions from our funders. As engaged local citizens we'd love to see you represented at this course!

Please share the information below with those you know who are interested in understanding and protecting their local watershed and wetlands. Courses are suitable to anyone from high school students to adults and are designed as citizen science tools to empower everyday people in conservation activities. People who have benefited from our courses include consultants, planners, environmental/conservation groups, government and First Nations representatives, engaged community members and keen outdoors-types.

Confirmed topics include:
Wetland Classification
Wetland Plan ID
Soil Classification
Birding
And so much more!

Didn't even know the federation had an account on the forum here. Why is it we did not hear a response from you on this thread? http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/showthread.php?116970-What-is-the-offical-BCWF-allocation-policy

The account is to promote programs or for official news releases:
Remember our federation has not for profit status and has to walk a very prescribed line on political issues.
There are enough senior BCWF members and executives speaking on their own behalf that are taking concerns addressed on this forum to their respective boards:
