Hi Folks:
This is an excellent introduction to Game Handling, Fire arm and Bow handling, Back pack and Hunter camp prepartions and equipment, Decoy set up, Wall tent set up, and game calling:
You also are in camp with some of BC's most expereinced hunters - who are all to happy to answer your questions about Hunting:
Lastly the Ridgemeadows Club is a beautiful location, has excellent food and first class facilities:

I was there last year with my daughter and will be there this year with both my kids at this very kid friendly event!

It's a great program for the beginner or those that want to sharpen their skills, from what I understand feedback was 100% positive. The instructors are all very seasoned outdoorsman who volunteer their time, nothing to poke fun at really.

Im poking fun at the fact that someone mentioned what a great facility another gun club was, and that they didn't proof read the registration form. Anyone who bans non prescription drugs from being on the premiss is saying that people cant have Tylenol, asperin etc. When what they mean to say is no illegal drugs.
Im not poking fun at the course, nor the instructors.

OK thanks for clearing that up but in reading your post it didn't look that way.

This is a capitol opportunity for new and inexperienced outdoors men and women to gain valuable knowledge and meet other like minded individuals. Well worth the cost.

Can a 13-year old attend?

LupieHunter

We had a few kids there last year but they were with their dads so I'd say probably yes, but a guardian would probably have to be there as well. You should contact Dale (fowl language on here) and ask him directly as he is the main organizer. His contact info can be found on the initial post by the bcwf on this thread.

I will be calling the office tomorrow to sign my brother and myself up. I have been hunting for a few years now but a course like this will teach me a thing or two and shed some info into things that I might not ever tried.

Hi folks,

I just want to say a BIG thanks to the Instructors for taking the time to do this and to Ridgedale Rod and Gun Club for hosting the event. Thanks to BCWF for the duck and goose calls. Thats what I came home to today LOL. My two boys spent the weekend with them and they learned alot and had a lot of fun doing it. They both enjoyed the skeet shooting. Now lets see if they can put it to use this fall LOL. Thanks again folks and stay away from my tree stand.

well we had another year of success at our new hunter bootcamp. we were full this year with 5 ladies and 6 from the island. the only unfortunate thing was 2/3 of the griddle packed it in so miles was sort of ham strung. we had a good bunch this year with a lot of shots taken at buggyun as he is still the rookie. I would like to thank all that signed up and made it a pleasure to teach. i would also like to thank the 15 or so volunteers that came out to help. without you this would not of happened.we added 3 more courses this year and had a very busy schedule ..again thank you all for making this a success....dale
