I am looking at a trip to the coast come May-long weekend. Does anyone have any insight as to what I can expect for fishing quality at that time of year? I would expect that the salmon would be slow but am hoping that the halibut fishing will be decent.

I went to Bella Coola last year mid june and the bottom fishing was awesome as was the weather. We caught tons of snapper, ling and halibut.

Hey Tank, the salmon fishing at that time in rupert is pretty sweet. I am a born fishing guide and live on the Queen Charlotte Islands, but have worked over there in those waters if you need some sweet info or a fishing guide thats real cheap just PM me. It wont hurt might give you some info that will make your trip unreal.
