I figure a three year old female, had no cubs but was a mama bear for sure, it is a black from vancouver island.

well I can say that we wont be seeing any bears from here on out, woke up to -6 and snowing, and looks like this will stay with us which is ok as a buddy of Foxers and mine will be ariving here tonight(yes Warren P17 is coming up in his car, long story:lol: ) for his first moose and a little snow never hurt when looking for a swamp donkey :wink:

Yes I did, got 87 percent (phtbtpbt!!!) and it occurs to me that you're gonna need the force alright if you're gonna cram a half moose in the back of his car... :)

its a fun test to do , kids love it keeps them in hi hopes , right now we are doing tree identification more so than ever before , may get some plaster to mold tracks to while we are out hunting as well , kids always like that , even ones younger than you young skywalker :lol:

Nice pics....odd how that black muzzle phase is solely predominate on the Island. Really gives them bruins some character.

i agree frestracks, i find it odd when i go to the mainland and see black bears with a brown snout, looks odd to me..
